Carbon, a leader in additive manufacturing, approached i-generator for help with creating footwear that pushed the boundaries of their proprietary 3D printing technology. The brief was to create two shoes - one for tuned for performance running and one geared towards casual wear. The resulting designs use additive manufacturing techniques on a variety of the shoes’ components, including midsole cushioning, heel counters, elastic straps, outsole, and plates.
