Adidas Golf was looking for a biomechanically-informed foundation for a new line of premium golf shoes. We broke down the golf swing into its elemental components, examining them from all perspectives. The solution was simple: The golf swing is an asymmetrical movement, and asymmetrical shoes could be employed to support this movement. Many prototypes later, and after getting final design treatment from the Adidas in-house design team, the Asym Energy Boost golf shoes helped J.B. Hunt secure a coveted PGA Tour victory.
